Art Gallery Auction 2015

We have been busily working on creating pieces of art ready for our auction tomorrow morning. We have split into five groups, all challenged with creating 6 pieces based on their artist of choice.

The groups were:
Porffor - Paul Signac
Oren - George Seurat
Gwyrdd - Antony Gormley
Melyn - Dorian Spencer Davies
Pinc - Andy Warhol

All of their pieces had to follow their artist's style.

Tomorrow Year 3/4 will all be given (virtually, at least) £100 to use to bid on their auctions. Today we held valuations on a group, class and teacher basis and we will use the average of these to work out a profit/loss system.

World War Two - Bevin Boys

After Christmas we will be studying the WW2 topic Blitz and will be focusing on Bevin Boys and mining during the war. Of particular interest to us is of any involvement of Llanharan or people from Llanharan in the Bevin Boys project or mining during World War two. Any information would be greatly received.
