We then talked about how, if the two characters had the chance to talk to each other, what would they say. The pupils used www.classtools.net SMS generator to create a text conversation in pairs. Here are some examples.
SE and LS
CH and LF
MD and IG
KT and CA
The pupils then took these text message conversations and used their knowledge of speech rules to create dialogues.
The next day, we tried to get into the head of the bear in the film by completing a feeling's graph. This enabled us to track the character's emotions throughout the story. We have been imagining what the bear and the man would say to each other after the end point of the film 'The Astronomer's Sun' as part of our #FilmLiteracy project using @classtools SMS generator. We then turned them into dialogues. @intofilm_cymru @intofilm_edu pic.twitter.com/kfHrGOsoTb— Llanharan Yr 5/6 (@lps140club) January 24, 2019
We have been creating fortune lines to show how the emotions of the characters in The Astronomer's Sun develop through the film as part of our #FilmLiteracy project. @intofilm_cymru @intofilm_edu pic.twitter.com/plBdTHII9H— Llanharan Yr 5/6 (@lps140club) January 25, 2019
