We have been learning about standard and non-standard
English when reading Morris Gleitzman's 'Toad Away'.
Yesterday we investigated word origins and tweeted new
verses to John Agard's 'Reporting from the front line of the great
dictionary disaster' to our class Twitter feed @lps140club.
Today we have been learning some Australian slang and Gwyrdd
and Porffor had a go at writing a conversation between Limpy and Goliath using
as much slang as they could. Oh, and prepare for some really bad Aussie
accents. They are far from ripper!
I can't do a very good Australian accent
