Into Film project - Session 3
This morning we were presented with five screen captures from the film. In pairs we had to sort these out into which order we thought they appeared in the film. We then looked at adverbial openers and the use of conjunctions to make sentences about these screen captures.
Using Explain Everything, in pairs we added these sentences to the screen captures. Here are our efforts.

Into Film Project - Session 2
Today we watched the trailer to our mystery film right up until the point before it displayed its title. We discussed what we saw and input this information into Tell Me grids.
We then completed an anagram to work out the film's title.
Finally, we wrote predictions based on our Tell Me grids, focusing on People, Places, Story and Time.
Here is a collection of our predictions:

IntoFilm Project - Session 1
Today we embarked on our journey into becoming more digitally competent and improving our reading comprehension and writing skills through using film.
We started off by listening to our mystery film with sound on, vision off. We discussed what we imagined in our home groups before being split into our expert groups. Our expert groups focused on: action, character, setting and story. In these groups we listened again and answered questions specific to our area of expertise. We each had our own Padlet per group to share our ideas.

We then discussed adverbial openers and how we could use these to introduce a sentence explaining what we imagined. We typed all of our sentences out onto another Padlet.
