Making promotional adverts for Louis Sachar's 'Holes' Camp Green Lake

We have been reading Louis Sachar's 'Holes' this half term. As a culmination to the topic, the class was challenged to make a promotional advert to advertise Camp Green Lake to parents of children with bad attitudes and who live on the wrong side of the law.

The pupils broke into 5 groups and began script writing and drawing their storyboards.

The pupils organised themselves into job roles, such as camera operator, sound engineer, editor, actors, green screen operator etc... They then went off and started making their movies.

They combined a range of digital technologies and apps, along with their knowledge of filming and camera angles to make their films. They used, Koma Koma, iMovie, Do Ink Green-screen, Garageband and Explain everything. They sourced royalty free images for green screen and still frames. After a discussion on royalty free music, the groups decided to make their own jingles on Garageband.

Here are their completed efforts:

Which group do you think did the best job at promoting a correctional institution for rowdy teens?
