National Tests 2019

With the national tests coming in the second week after half term, I've trawled the internet to find as many past papers as I' can.

I have put these into a OneDrive folder, broken down into Year groups (from 2-6) and specific tests:

Reading
Procedural
Reasoning.

These can be found on the following link, for pupils to practice over half term.

Making Welsh films

Today we worked with Hywel Roberts from IntoFilm Cymru to demonstrate how film can be used to meet some of the targets within Cymraeg Campus, in particular, the use of Apps and websites.

We split into five groups working on:

  • Giving instructions on washing hands
  • Dyma'r Ysgol Gynradd Llanharan
  • Fy hoff Miwsig Cymraeg
  • Instructions for 'Ga i groeso'r afon'
  • Animation of a poem
We wrote storyboards and scripts and then began filming and editing our movies.

Here are our efforts:

Gwenllian - good leader or bad?

To culminate out Gwenllian, Warrior Princess topic, we debated whether she was a good leader or a foolish one.

We thought out all of the possible for and against comments and wrote some persuasive arguments. We then had to take these pieces of written work and make notes from them on post it notes. We used these to then aid us with individual presentations.

Here are some of our efforts:

Celts presentations...in Welsh

To conclude our topic, Warrior Princess, the pupils were challenged in producing and presenting a presentation about the Celts...in Welsh.

Pupils were given sentence patterns and a vocabulary bank to help with their presentations and then had time to research their content.

They used iPads and Keynote to put together their presentations.
